Meet the faces behind the Poo Crew!

Ada

I’m Ada and I am proud mom to my Golden Retriever pack, Cooper and Stitch. I am a Charleston native, born and raised, and obsessed with all the wonderful furbabies this city has! I’ve worked with animals for my entire life, from horses to dogs, to reptiles and birds! With me having a veterinary medicine background (emergency, specialty and primary care) I hope to give you comfort and peace of mind knowing your pet is under the best care possible! I am also a graduate from USC with a degree focusing on biological sciences! I cannot wait to meet both you and your pets!!

Amy

Ask anyone who knows me. Dogs are a complete joy in my life. I have worked with animals all my life, grew up on a farm and had all sorts of animals. I have been pet sitting for over 30 years and treat others’ animals as my own. As a dog and chicken
owner myself, I know how important it is to follow instructions, communicate well, and most of all, give all the snuggles and attention. I cannot wait to meet you and your fur baby!

Beth

Hi! I’m Beth. I grew up in Connecticut but moved to the Lowcountry 27 years ago. I have worked with animals for over 20 years including in kennels, daycares and clinics. Pet sitting is by far my favorite!! I have experience with all types of animals. I look forward to caring for your fur babies and of course all the cuddles. When I’m not busy caring for your babies I enjoy riding my horse and giving him treats!!

Blakely

Hi! My name is Blakely and I am a mom to my firstborn, a golden retriever named Honey, and to my secondborn, our (human) almost 2-year-old son, Theo! I have also been married to my amazing husband, Jake, for four years. I am truly obsessed with all animals, and it is my goal to make your pet feel incredibly loved and safe while in my care. While not on mom-duty, I am pursuing my online master’s degree in speech therapy, spending time with family, finding new walking trails in CHS, and most likely cuddling a dog in between!

Bonni

Hi, my name is Bonni. I was born and raised in Charleston and I believe I was meant to be a pet sitter. My love for animals has been in my nature ever since I was born! Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, rabbits — you name it! As an adult, my heart wasn’t full without my labradors to love and care for as my own children. After I lost my husband, sweet dog Bella passed. She was my best friend and soul mate, and although I’m not yet ready for another fur baby, my passion is to be helpful to others by taking care of their animals while they are away. I’m so excited to meet your “children” and keep them safe as if they were my own!

Carly

I’m Carly, a passionate pet care provider with five years of experience in ensuring that our furry companions are happy and well cared for. I grew up right here in the Lowcountry, and when I was 18, I moved to Jersey for four years and started my own dog walking business there. I recently moved back a few months ago and am so excited to meet all the pets in Charleston. In my free time, I love trying new food places, growing my perfume collection, seeing a new movie, inhaling all the popcorn (we all know how delicious it is), and saying hello to every animal I see. I can’t wait to meet both you and your pets!

Chris

Chris would like to go on record and say that he is more than just the husband of the founder of Mind Your Pees and Poos! Sure, nepotism may have made getting the job a little easier, but he loves animals almost as much as Megan! Spending 14 years as a field technician for AT&T, Chris often came across snuggly animals in the wild, whether it be a squirrel that would take bread out of his hand, friendly pasture cows, horses in a field, or the outgoing neighborhood cat. And as the doting husband that he is, he would always take tons of pictures and share them with his wife. Their dog, Bear, is the love of his life and he treats all clients pets as if they were his own.

Christine and Brent

Hi, we’re Christine and Brent! We live and work from our cozy downtown home, where there’s always plenty of room (and love) and a big backyard for pets. Since we both work remotely, we’re around throughout the day to give lots of attention, playtime, and snuggles. Not long ago, we said goodbye to our sweet angel dog, Leia. She was our world, and while we miss her every day, her memory leaves us with so much love to give. Caring for other pets has become a joyful way to keep her spirit alive and surround ourselves with the happiness animals bring. When we’re not at home, you can usually find us planning our next adventure — traveling and working out are some of our favorite ways to spend time together. But no matter where we go, coming home to wagging tails and happy paws is what makes life full. We’d be honored to give your pets the same care, comfort, and love that Leia gave us for so many years. ❤️

Isabelle

Hello! My name is Isabelle, and I’ve been a pet owner and lover since I was born. I’ve had dogs, cats, and even cows! The only time I’ve not had a pet of my own was my first three years of college, when I wasn’t allowed to have one. But that didn’t stop me from finding ways to help and care for animals; in that time I volunteered at shelters and got a job in an aquarium to help feed and care for the animals there. Animals of all shapes and sizes are my favorite types of pets, and I can’t wait to meet your family friend too!

Kaitlyn

Hello, I’m Kaitlyn! While originally born and raised in Northwest Arkansas, I came to South Carolina in order to be closer to the coast and further my degree in Animal Medicine. I have grown up with tons of animals (cats, dogs, reptiles, etc.) my entire life and hope to use my knowledge and school studies to provide a trusting and safe space for your pets. Whether it’s an active environment or a quiet place to rest, my goal is to provide a comforting and familiar home while you’re away.

Katherine

Hi! I’m Katherine, and I’d love to be your pet’s new best friend. I moved to Charleston from Maryland two years ago and am a proud ferret mom to Rigby, while also missing my family dog and cat back home. When I’m not working as a TV news producer, I love volunteering with local shelters and meeting every pup and kitty I can. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!

Kerri

Hi! I’m Kerri. After years in the corporate world in Annapolis, MD, I recently moved to Charleston to be closer to family and stay active doing something I love. I’m a lifelong dog lover — raised with dachshunds and now keeping up with my “grand-dogs:” a dachshund, a mutt, a Frenchie, and a yellow lab. For the past few years, I’ve been dog sitting for friends and love everything from long walks to playtime and companionship. I’m reliable, responsive, and treat every pet like my own. Excited to be part of the Poo Crew and care for your four-legged family members!

Mary

Hi, I’m Mary! I’m a Charleston local of 20 years, though I’ll always be a Midwest girl at heart. As a mom of two and an avid runner, I understand the importance of daily exercise and routine for our four-legged friends. At home, I have a sweet old beagle named Sandy and a cat named Sally.

I’ve been working in pet care for many years, have been a foster mom, volunteered in shelters and it’s truly a passion of mine. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I love that I get to spend my days with them. When I’m not working, I can be found out on a run, enjoying Charleston’s beautiful trails and beaches, or spending quality time at home with my kids. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members!

Megan

I have taken care of dogs (and cats) my entire life — I never knew a life without a family pet! At any event where a dog may be present (party, park, work, gym) I will always be the person in the corner oohing and ahhhing over my new best friend! I cannot emphasize enough how much I love dogs, lol. I’m also super responsible, reliable, and responsive. I won’t take days to get back to you, and I will never flake or bail at the last minute. I would take SUCH good and loving care of your pup (all dogs are puppies to me) and will have a blast playing/snuggling with him or her! I’m comfortable issuing medication, cleaning up messes, and dog-sitting all types of breeds.

Nathan

Hello! My name is Nathan and I am a proud parent to a Dutch Shepard. Animals are my life’s passion and my goal in life is to teach people about how amazing dogs can be. I was raised training and caring for dogs and I still carry that passion to this day. Now, as a dog trainer, I specialize in helping dogs with behavioral issues, and eventually want to train dogs to be service animals.

Piper

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a best friend in a pet! Growing up on a farm, I have experience with all types of furry friends. Currently, I have two dogs, a cat, and two bunnies! They make my day every day and are truly a part of my family. With my love for animals and my sense of responsibility, your best friends will be in great hands!

Rita

To be given an opportunity to be able to surround myself with animals is nothing short of a blessing. I was fortunate to experience working alongside a K-9 unit while I was in the military and became a mommy to one sweet fur baby. Now as a veteran I’d love nothing more than to spend my time providing unconditional care for your pet(s)!

Stacie

Hi! My name is Stacie. I am a West Coast girl who made South Carolina home 36 years ago and never looked back! I’ve never known a time in my life when I didn’t have a dog or cat (or multiple of both). When I became a classroom teacher 28 years ago, the true animal lover in me emerged! I have had everything from snakes to birds to bunnies and even owned a hedgehog for a year! I currently have a blind, senior dog named Bella and recently adopted a one-year-old Great Pyrenees! Looking forward to getting to know you and your pooch!

Tierney

Hi, I’m Tierney! I’m originally from Scottsdale, Arizona and Telluride, Colorado. I teach yoga and pilates part-time and am a full-time animal lover. I’m calm, reliable, and very easily won over by a wagging tail. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for.

Will

My name’s Will! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and energy levels, and I always focus on making dogs feel safe, happy, and at home. I have a sweet little Italian Greyhound named Patty, so I can relate to how a good dog sitter can help you feel secure.
